Endura Short-Sleeve Women’s Cycling Jersey Giveaway

Back in June, Felkerino and I rode the Hilly Billy Roubaix, a 74-mile ultra-cross race out in Morgantown, West Virginia. And it was awesome!

Hilly Billy Roubaix

As a result of our efforts we ended up on the podium of the tandem division. Full disclosure: we were the only tandem team that participated.

In addition to winning the lump of coal, the race organizers gave us some other treats, too.

One of these was a women’s Endura short-sleeve jersey in a size Large. It’s a good-looking jersey– black with blue and white piping, three rear pockets, and some reflective accents– and I’m giving it away.

Also, if you have a song recommendation to go along with your comment, please share it with your comment. I need to update the tunes currently in my rotation.

I’ll randomly pick a winner around August 30 or so, and follow up with them via email. Thanks!

  1. Great idea for a giveaway! My cycling jerseys have gotten a lot of mileage and I would love a snazzy new one to add :)

  2. I’d love to be in a random drawing for this! I followed your adventures up and down the mountains of Colorado with vicarious joy.

As for music — most of what I listen to is either old school rock and roll or Christian (I know, an odd combination but it works for me). I particularly like Building 429, “This is Not Where I Belong” because it has a great driving beat for those downstrokes on hills.

I always hesitate to expose my playlist because it is convoluted. Some of my more churchy Christian friends are mystified by my rock-n-roll and one of the Jewish ladies I often ride with recently asked “just what Is that song?” (I don’t do earbuds so it’s audible to others if you get close enough). I laughed and said, “A Christian band called Building 429.” She wasn’t offended but decided it probably wouldn’t go on her playlist. Vive le difference, yes?

  3. songs recomendation: Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque. if you want, i can to sendo to your email some mp3. ciao!

  4. Nothing like a giveaway to bring out us lurkers :) unfortunately I don’t have much of a playlist going right now. I’ve been listening to podcasts. I am currently enjoying the Good Life Project podcasts.

  5. Oooh, I’ve been contemplating buying my first jersey, but haven’t yet justified it. What timing!

  6. Mary, do you use Spotify for music? One song that’s making me laugh lately is “Inner Ninja.” Otherwise, I find Banco de Gaia is awesome for tempo/endurance work: Zeus No Like Techno and Last Train (Riviera mix) are two good ones to start with.

  7. Ooh. A pretty Jersey!

That music thing is a GREAT question. Not sure of your tastes, but I was riding today and I have to admit that Black Eyed Peas Monkey Business album has a lot of good songs to get you spinning (Pump It is the one). I am also finding old skool hip hop to be motivating. This is How we Do it by Montell Jordan and Whoomp there it is by Tag Team (DC shoutout). And California Love by Dr Dre and Tupac gets me GOING!
Also Afrofunk is great – the drums can match to pedal strokes.
