Greetings again from Iowa. It’s still cold here. But this post is not about the weather, it’s about coffeeneuring! Specifically, I want to discuss the deadline for submitting your Coffeeneuring Challenge entries. Coffeeneuring entries are due in my email in-box by midnight, November 25, but because I am running a […]
Brevets, commutes, tandem rides, coffee. Sometimes a marathon. Washington, D.C.
This weekend finds me back in Iowa, just in time for the first snowfall and winter chill. The snow was nothing too dramatic, enough to cover the ground and send a message to everyone that winter is on its way.
What a wonderful (and delicious) challenge. I hope I got things down properly. A few things to help clarify… I used Saturdays and Tuesdays as my “weekends.” I also used two “vacation” instances (#3 and #6) instead of my usual Sat/Tues for those weeks, and I used a Vermont ride (#4) […]
Today’s guest post is from a father-daughter team out of Minnesota. Charlie’s regular beverage was a latte while Emma (who, at 13, is the youngest female Coffeeneuring Challenge finisher so far) went the hot chocolate route. By the way, what is the difference between hot cocoa, hot chocolate, and hot […]
We head to Ohio today with a guest post from the first Ohio coffeeneur in three years of the Coffeeneuring Challenge. Jerel, who completed all of his rides on a vintage 1978 Schwinn Traveler III, gives us an inside look at his city of Toledo and bookends his coffeeneuring with […]
Submissions are steadily flowing in to Coffeeneuring World Headquarters, and the New England Regional Office and I are working together to keep updating all the exciting visuals that help illustrate the scope of coffeeneuring. Keep those entries coming! In the meantime, I have another excellent guest post for you, this […]
This past weekend Felkerino and I put our bikes on the roof of our car and drove north to meet up with friends and attend the Philadelphia Bike Expo.
I’ve received some excellent coffeeneuring submissions, and today’s guest post is no exception. Lynda, in the Santa Barbara area, visited some intriguing spots, went on some good rides with friends, and also summarized the bike-friendliness of each coffeeneuring locale in terms of parking and seating.
Today’s post is a virtual coffeeneuring trip to Sweden. Anders and Kayoko, who reside in Märsta, recently completed coffeeneuring together and today I’m featuring their Coffeeneuring Challenge write-up. While Anders also completed the Errandonnee earlier this year, Kayoko and he are the first coffeeneurs from Sweden. Well done to you […]
Maybe you entered the Coffeeneuring Challenge with great ambitions, but other things in life got in the way. I know. It’s hard to imagine what can keep people away from coffee and their bicycles, but it happens. Not to worry. You can still submit the coffeeneuring rides you accomplished and […]
What better way to head into the weekend than with some good coffeeneuring tales? SR’s guest post continues with the lively summaries of her final four coffeeneuring rides around Pittsburgh. Week 3 Event 4 18 Oct 2013 27+ miles (GPS issues so it didn’t register part of the ride) Delanie’s […]
As the Coffeeneuring Challenge heads into the final two weekends I thought it a good time for some coffeeneuring housekeeping.
SR in Pittsburgh recently completed the Coffeeneuring Challenge. While you will find some of her posts on As Seen From My Bike, I enjoyed her submission so much that I asked if she would be willing to guest post her full adventure here. I also like that SR is a […]
It’s Coffeeneuring Rewind Guest Post time, featuring Washington, D.C., locations and a Maryland coffeeneur! ——- I hereby certify, under penalty of perjury, that the following seven submissions are authentic and are fully in compliance with the official 2013 Coffeneuring Rules and Regulations as set forth on the Chasing Mailboxes Web […]
That is all we coffeeneurs know on earth… at least while the Coffeeneuring Challenge goes on. A new blog roundup is in order!
As long as you follow all 19 rules, coffeeneuring can unfold in a variety of ways. You can go it alone. You may head out with a partner or a friend or two to keep you company. Another palatable option is to coffeeeur with your kids, which several people have […]
