We’re officially one weekend into the 2025 Coffeeneuring Challenge, and people everywhere on earth are starting their beverage-filled bike journeys.

The Monday Coffeeneuring Clatch is here to highlight a few of the recent goings-on.

Finland Represent!

Over the last week, the Coffeeneurs Facebook Group added several new members from Finland. Welcome and we can’t wait to see your posts and outings!

Longtime coffeeneur Johanna gives us a glimpse of one of her coffeeneuring outings in Lapland (latitude of 67 degrees north), complete with an elegant teacup and actual candle.

Birthday Celebrations All Around!

It’s not just the Coffeeneuring Challenge celebrating year 15. So is the Los Angeles CicLAvia! Karen C of Bikie Girl Bloomers combined a coffeeneuring ride on her Brompton with some pedal strokes along the CicLAvia – an ideal pairing!

Hot Air Balloons and Bike Rides

I’ve never been to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, but this stunner of a photo from Hal during his coffeeneuring ride makes me want to go! Note that Hal also took his own diner mug along, giving the ride an even more personal flair.

Sandhill Cranes in Indiana

One of the many pleasures of the season is how immersive the riding can be. Fall is irresistible! Dawn and her coffeeneuring team enjoyed a weekend Sandhill Crane Cruise along the back roads of rural Pulaski and Jasper counties, and past fields of feeding Sandhill Cranes. Sandhill Cranes!

I love this team photo under the Sandhill Cranes Mural.

Speaking of Nature, Look Up and Look Down

You never know what you’re going to see on a coffeeneuring ride. Look up, it’s hot air balloons and Sandhill Cranes, look down and it’s… tarantulas! At least, that was the case for James J. in Arizona, whose ride to and from the only coffee stop within riding distance resulted in an unexpected intersection with the furry 8-legged arachnid. I know tarantulas are big, but still, good eyes seeing this guy on the road!

Themes Within Themes: 15 Things

I love the theme within a theme rule (optional!). Betty Jean in central Georgia is not only drinking a different tea during every coffeeneuring ride, she is also taking along a 15-item snack in honor of the Coffeeneuring Challenge’s 15th year. For this ride, it was 15 Fritos. Look at this coffeeneuring snack of art.

Latte Art

Latte art and nice coffee shop tables? I’m a fan. I also enjoy seeing how others capture a nice-looking coffee drink. John G. in South Dakota shows us how it’s done with this aeriel view of a cortado from Day Lily Coffee.

I also made it out for a coffeeneuring ride this weekend, as the intern and I traveled some local paths to Vigilante Coffee in Hyattsville, Maryland. The intern says he wants more responsibility this year. We’ll see!

There’s so much goodness happening with the Coffeeneuring Challenge, we love to see it all. And if you haven’t yet started the challenge, no worries! Still plenty of time to get those coffeeneuring rides in. No need to rush, it’s a season not a sprint!
